RICHARD II: Director & Adapter / Sound Design
Roberto Di Donato is a Venezuelan-Italian artist from the land originally known as home for the Tawakoni and Wichitah nations near Dallas, TX. He is excited to return for a third season, having worked with Shakespeare in the Woods directing THE TEMPEST (2023) and TWELFTH NIGHT (2024)! Roberto has served on the Native American Heritage planning committee for Ohio University. He has presented the Five-Time World Champion Hoop Dancer and flute player, Tony Duncan, at Tantrum Theater and presented his lecture on “Music as a Form of Healing”. Roberto serves on the Board of Directors for Salvage Vanguard Theater, which has been pushing the boundary of experimental performance since 1994. They are a 2024 Producer Academy Member with Beth Morrison Projects. He has a translation of Nobel Laureate, Luigi Pirandello, in contract with Perry Street Theatricals, NYC. Other past credits include: Producing Director, Tantrum Theater; Assistant to Technical Director for Fusebox Festival; Associate Artistic Director of Frank Wo/Men Collective, named Best of Austin, 2019.
