2024 Season

MACBETH and TWELFTH NIGHT, OR, WHAT YOU WILL

Evening performances occur Wednesdays - Sundays at 7:30PM

All performances are outdoors, rain or shine, and seating is provided. In the event of extreme weather, SitW will provide time sensitive updates. Unless otherwise announced, performances will proceed as planned. 

Enjoy pre-show concessions & drinks (including show themed cocktails!) 

at The Falcon Bar on performance evenings.

*SPECIAL PERFORMANCES*

- 8/25, in partnership with Vermont Public Theater, we will bring Twelfth Night to

Bennington, VT for a benefit matinee performance, in support of Bennington

County Coalition for the Homeless.

- 8/29 & 8/30 are Queer Affinity Nights with post-performance talkbacks.

These performances are designated for our LGBTQIA+ folks to join us in community 

for an evening of theatre and affirming space. Allies are welcome.

Area schools, senior communities and individuals interested in attending the Weds Sept. 4th matinee of TWELFTH NIGHT, should email shakespeareinthewoodsvt@gmail.com with the subject “Student & Senior Matinee” for further booking information.

Join us for Book Club at The Manchester Community Library! 

Sept. 3rd at 5:30 - 6:30p 

The reading club event will be focused the two 2024 season shows, with SitW’s 2024 Season Co. members joining for an evening of community and lively discussion around these Shakespearean texts and themes.

To participate, we suggest reading Shakespeare’s original plays and/or SitW’s new adaptations (available for PDF download on MCL's website.)

All ages welcome, no previous familiarity with the specific plays (or Shakespeare) necessary.

MEET THE 2024 COMPANY

Ticket Policy: 

All tickets are final and non-refundable, but exceptions can be made for health or medical emergencies or other extenuating circumstances. Tickets may be exchanged with at least 24 hours notice. To exchange tickets, please email shakespeareinthewoodsvt@gmail.com

 

As a “rain or shine” company, SitW performances will continue during inclement (non-extreme) weather, with the potential for short delays (holds) during a performance. Tickets will not be refunded to ticket holders who decide not to attend due to weather when a performance has not been cancelled. We will make every effort to complete a performance, even in rain.

Directions & Parking

WHERE: The Taconic Lawn is located on the inner grounds of The Equinox Resort & Spa (3567 Main St, Manchester, VT 05254).

 

PARKING: There is a large parking lot (Option 1) behind the main hotel building, accessible from the Northeastern entrance on Main Street.

 

Additional parking (Option 2) is available across the street at The First Congregational Church of Manchester (3624 Main St, Manchester, VT 05254 - entry to parking lot from Union Sreet Fork)

BOX OFFICE: The front of house table is located on the lawn directly off Parking Lot Option 1, and opens at 6:30pm on performance days.

ACCESSIBILITY: Attendees with accessibility and mobility disability needs have access to park in the small lot right next to the stage. The Box Office can direct you back to this area after you check in. Please note, this lot will be coned off by 7:20p on performance nights, but is accessible at any point before the show.
