LEAR: Lear

Kimberly Schraf has been a proud member of Washington, DC’s professional theatre community for almost 40 years, and is thrilled to appear in her first production at Shakespeare in the Woods. Among her favorite regional credits are Linda Loman in Death of a Salesman and Marge Murray (and others) in The Laramie Project at Ford’s Theatre; Ah! Wilderness (Lily) and The Women (seven roles) at Arena Stage; Kyra in Skylight,  Allison in Crestfall, and Jane in The Apple Family Plays at  Studio Theatre; A Prayer for Owen Meany and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime at Round House Theatre, The Gigli Concert and Measure for Pleasure at Woolly Mammoth Theatre; and Pipeline at Everyman Theatre, as well as three area productions of Our Town. She teaches acting at Georgetown University  and prepares actors for transition to the professional  acting community in a year-long training program at the Theatre Lab. She believes deeply, now more than ever, in  the healing and transformative power of theatre.
