Katharine is a non-binary Jewish actor, born & raised in Vermont and based in NYC & VT. They are so very proud to be the founding artistic director of Shakespeare in the Woods in their home state. She is a graduate of The William Esper Studio’s Full Time Program, having studied with David Newer, and with the late Bill Esper in the studio’s invite-only alumni Shakespeare Intensive. Katharine was also a part of Red Bull Theater’s Shakespeare Intensive Master Class with Louisa Proske, Chukwudi Iwuji, and Peter Francis James. Favorite SitW credits include: “Coriolanus/Asylum Officer” (Coriolanus), “Beatrice”/”Verges”(Much Ado About Nothing), and “Katharina”(The Taming of the Shrew). Katharine is verklempt to see SitW in its 3rd performance season and cannot thank enough the artists, family, supporters, and audiences that make this magic happen! IG: @kmaness
